Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 August 2026
dumpl ("we", "us") is an account-based personal bookmarking app for links and
web pages you choose to save. This policy explains what we collect,
why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive
a user identifier and, where you allow it, your email address. We use this to create and
secure your account.
- Content you save. The links, and the associated titles, descriptions,
thumbnails, media references, metadata, categories, and preferences you choose to save
into your private dumpl library.
- Subscription status. Whether you have an active subscription, managed
through Apple's App Store and our subscription provider. We never receive your card or
payment details.
- Usage & diagnostics. Product analytics such as which screens and
features you use, in-app events, and general device/app information (e.g. app version,
device model, OS version). Session replay masks text and visual content. We do
not use advertising identifiers (IDFA) and do not track
you across other companies' apps or websites.
How we use it
- To provide the core service: saving, sorting, syncing, and displaying your content.
- To use public link text to suggest a topic category for a saved item.
- To operate subscriptions and premium features.
- To understand how the app is used so we can fix issues and improve it.
Service providers
We share data only with the processors needed to run dumpl:
- Supabase — authentication and database (your account and saved content).
- PostHog — product analytics and session replay, hosted in the EU.
- RevenueCat and Apple — subscription management and payments.
- Cloudflare — infrastructure and content resolution (fetching public
metadata/media for links you save).
- AI service providers — public title and description text needed only to
suggest a topic category.
We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention & your rights
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account from within the
app (Profile → account settings), which removes your account and associated saved content from
our systems. For an Apple sign-in account, we revoke Apple access before deletion completes.
If that revoke cannot be completed, we ask you to try deletion again. You may also contact us
to access or delete your data.
Children
dumpl is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date.
